A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date email address or has made a spelling mistake. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam email messages, but this issue can be rectified by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also vital to keep in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming emails to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a small sign handily situated right next to each one. With only a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this feature through the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
